Wool to Silver

I began crocheting with silver after a regular visit to my jewelry supply store. I was making silver jewelry at the time. I was also crocheting a wool scarf as a gift. I noticed the very fine silver wire and wondered if I could crochet with it, so I bought some and tried it. It was difficult at first and very awkward, but I persevered. I thought I had invented the technique. Unfortunately I had not, but there are not many people who do it as it is very labor intensive. I love doing it, and have broadened my work to include many different styles and also combined the crochet with soldered silver elements, semi precious stones and beads.
